Jaeger-LeCoultre has unveiled a new Master Control Calendar, a limited edition watch that honors the brand’s 1940s triple-calendar movements while offering a fresh, contemporary look. Housed in a 40mm stainless steel case, the watch features a two-tone gray grained dial, inspired by mid-century sector designs.
The dial is thoughtfully divided into light and dark gray sectors for easy reading. Day and month windows sit at the top on white discs with black numerals. Below, a small-seconds subdial houses the moonphase display, where a polished moon glides across a deep blue, starry sky. A light-gray minute ring transitions into a dark-gray date scale, and a red-tipped date hand jumps gracefully from the 15th to 16th of each month to avoid covering the moonphase.
Inside, the watch is powered by the in-house Calibre 866, a self-winding movement with a 70-hour power reserve and Jaeger-LeCoultre’s strict “1000 Hours Control” certification. The movement’s rapid-gliding date mechanism ensures smooth, precise motion of the red-tipped hand without affecting the lunar display.
