Blancpain Reimagines the Villeret in a Warm “Golden Hour” Palette

Luxury Swiss watchmaker Blancpain has refreshed its iconic Villeret collection with the new “Golden Hour” chapter — a tribute to timeless elegance and warm autumn hues. This latest release reinterprets three classic models across 16 variants, blending technical mastery with refined, modern design.

The collection features three main models:

  • a 40mm automatic three-hand model with date,

  • a 40mm complete calendar with moonphase, and

  • a 33.20mm moonphase calendar.

Each watch is available in either 18-carat red gold or stainless steel, enhanced by new dials in golden-brown sunburst and finely grained opaline finishes. To complement the warm tones, Blancpain introduces interchangeable nubuck velvet straps in shades of brown, blue-grey, honey, and beige, all featuring a quick-change system for easy customization. The supple barolo finish ensures a comfortable fit that develops a natural patina over time.

Blancpain’s subtle design updates give the Villeret line a more graceful appearance. The case now features a slimmer bezel, thinner profile, enlarged crown, and redesigned lugs for better ergonomics and comfort. The Roman numeral hour markers are crafted from 18-carat gold with satin-brushed tops and polished edges, while the classic “12” has been replaced with Blancpain’s JB signature. The hands are slimmer and now include luminescent inserts for better readability at night. The date window at 3 o’clock has been enlarged for visual balance, and the moonphase aperture now has greater depth, enhancing its aesthetic presence.

One of the highlights of the “Golden Hour” series is the poetic moonphase complication. The moon is crafted from 18-carat gold with a soft satin finish and features Blancpain’s signature smiling lunar face, set against a ceramic disc. On the complete calendar models, Blancpain retains its patented under-lug correctors, allowing users to safely adjust the calendar functions with ease — a feature first introduced in 2005. The smaller 33.20mm version maintains traditional side correctors, keeping the classic charm intact.

Inside each timepiece is a finely decorated automatic in-house caliber, showcasing Côtes de Genève patterns, beveled edges, and an open-worked oscillating weight in either red or yellow gold. This skeletonized rotor allows a clear view of the beautifully finished movement inside. As part of Blancpain’s dedication to mechanical excellence, all movements are now protected under a five-year warranty, ensuring both reliability and peace of mind.

Blancpain’s “Golden Hour” Villeret collection is not just a new chapter but a celebration of the brand’s enduring values — precision, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty.
