H. Moser & Cie. Unveils the Stunning Pioneer Centre Seconds “Purple Mist” to Celebrate King Fook Jewellery’s 76th Anniversary

Luxury Swiss watchmaker H. Moser & Cie. has introduced a new limited-edition masterpiece — the Pioneer Centre Seconds Purple Mist, celebrating the 76th anniversary of King Fook Jewellery. Designed exclusively for the new King Fook boutique in Hong Kong, this watch blends artistic design, cultural symbolism, and advanced mechanics.

The 40mm timepiece is crafted from lightweight titanium, offering a perfect balance between sportiness and elegance. Its uni-directional rotating bezel and curved sapphire crystal give it a modern look while ensuring durability and comfort for everyday wear.

At the heart of this watch lies the “Purple Haze” fumé dial, which features a sunburst finish and a unique smoked treatment. The color takes inspiration from the traditional phrase “Purple Mist from the East”, a symbol of luck, renewal, and prosperity in ancient Chinese culture.

The dial is enhanced with Globolight® hour markers and Super-LumiNova® coatings, allowing clear readability even in dim lighting. The hands and indices are polished to perfection, emphasizing the watch’s contemporary style and refined craftsmanship.

Inside, the Purple Mist houses H. Moser’s in-house HMC 200 automatic movement, known for its reliability and precision. This movement includes a bi-directional pawl winding system, Straumann® hairspring, and provides an impressive three-day power reserve. It runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour and includes 27 jewels for smoother performance and long-term durability.

Only 38 pieces of this exquisite watch have been produced, making it a true collector’s item. Each comes with both a titanium bracelet and a black rubber strap, allowing wearers to easily switch between a sporty or formal look.

Co-owner Bertrand Meylan described the new boutique as a place where watch lovers can connect and celebrate horology. He also mentioned that the Pioneer Centre Seconds Purple Mist marks the first step in a vibrant partnership between H. Moser & Cie. and King Fook Jewellery.
