First Look: Audi Revives the Spirit of the TT With the "Concept C"

Audi has revealed its latest concept car, the “Concept C,” a design that brings back the spirit of the iconic Audi TT while setting the stage for the brand’s future design language. The car was first shown in Milan, Italy, where Audi’s top designers explained its inspirations and bold new direction.

The front of the Concept C introduces a “vertical frame” grille, inspired by the 1936 Auto Union Type C and the 2004 Audi A6. This design makes the Four Rings emblem stand out with a stronger, boxier look.

Like the TT, the Concept C is a two-seater with a retractable hard-top roof that maintains a sleek coupé shape. It features wide rear fenders, 21-inch wheels inspired by the TT’s six-spoke design, but with a modern hollow-spoke, two-tone style. Dynamic headlights and taillights change appearance depending on day or night use, giving the car a distinctive character. Other exterior details include forged carbon fiber splitters, diffusers, and side skirts, adding performance-focused design.

Inside, the theme is “clarity.” The interior is clean and minimal, with a digital gauge cluster, a foldable infotainment tablet, and a touch-sensitive control bar. Audi has introduced haptic “Audi Click” buttons for a futuristic feel. The cabin uses fiber seats and synthetic leather, highlighted with soft, indirect ambient lighting for a warm, modern touch.

Audi confirmed that the Concept C will go into production and will guide the design language for its upcoming cars, blending history with innovation for the next generation of Audi vehicles.
