DJI has released the Mic 3, a lightweight and powerful mini wireless microphone designed for creators, filmmakers, and event professionals. Weighing just 16 grams, the Mic 3 packs in advanced features that make it DJI’s most capable audio device yet, priced from €199 EUR ($232 USD).
The Mic 3 supports up to four transmitters and eight receivers at once, making it perfect for multi-camera shoots, group interviews, or live events. A first for the series, it introduces adaptive gain control, which automatically balances sound levels and prevents audio clipping. Users can also choose from three voice tone presets—Regular, Rich, and Bright—plus two levels of active noise cancelling for clean audio in noisy environments.
It comes with 32 GB of internal storage and dual-file 32-bit float recording, preserving both original and enhanced audio tracks. The transmitter also includes built-in timecode support, helping editors sync audio with video more easily during post-production.
Performance is another strong point: the Mic 3 offers a 400-meter range, automatic frequency hopping, and 8 hours of transmitter battery life (10 hours on the receiver), with the charging case boosting total usage to 28 hours.
The Mic 3 works seamlessly with DJI’s Osmo lineup and is compatible with Bluetooth, USB-C, and 3.5mm ports, making it versatile across different setups. It is available now and will be showcased at IFA Berlin 2025 (Sept 5–9).
