Seiko is adding a special edition to its popular Prospex Alpinist line with a new model inspired by the beauty of the night sky over mountain peaks. Called the “Night Sky,” this limited-edition watch is designed exclusively for the European market and carries the reference number SPB531J1.
The watch features a 39.5 mm stainless steel case with bold crown guards and Seiko’s signature double-crown system. Its deep midnight blue dial captures the essence of a clear alpine night, enhanced with a vertical brushed pattern, dark gray numerals, and luminous cathedral-style hands for easy readability in low light. A cyclops lens magnifies the date window at 3 o’clock, adding a practical touch.
On the back, an exhibition case reveals Seiko’s reliable in-house 6R35 automatic movement, offering a 70-hour power reserve and stop-seconds function. Known for its accuracy and durability, it continues the Alpinist tradition of being both stylish and functional for adventurers.
Limited to just 3,000 pieces, the Seiko Prospex Alpinist “Night Sky” is set to release in September as a Europe-exclusive model.
