Stone Island Gives the New Balance Numeric 272 a Fresh Makeover

Stone Island and New Balance are teaming up once again — and this time, they’re taking on the Numeric 272, a popular skateboarding shoe. This new version is part of Stone Island’s Marina line, which is inspired by sailing and the sea.

The Numeric 272 is usually known as an affordable skate shoe, but Stone Island has upgraded its look and feel. The upper is now split into two sections: the lower part uses soft gray suede, while the upper part features clean white textile material. On the outside of the shoe, there’s a gray "N" logo, but the inside of the shoe skips the logo and instead has two small holes for ventilation, making the shoe more breathable.

Additional details include Stone Island Marina branding on the tongue and blue labels on the heel showing both Stone Island and New Balance logos. The shoe sits on an off-white vulcanized sole, giving it a durable and classic skate shoe feel.

So far, there’s no official release date or price, but since this is a special collaboration, it’s expected to cost more than the regular $75 USD version. It will likely launch soon on Stone Island’s website, New Balance, and select skate retailers.

This unique version of the Numeric 272 brings together fashion and skateboarding — a creative step forward from both brands. Stay tuned for updates!
