To celebrate its 25th anniversary, UK-based retailer size? has joined forces with BILLY’S Tokyo and adidas for a unique sneaker collaboration called the “Sapporo Collection.” Releasing on June 6, 2025, this special drop is part of adidas’ City Series and features two versions of the classic adidas Munchen silhouette.
Each sneaker in this pack tells its own story, created individually by size? and BILLY’S to represent the culture and history of Sapporo, Japan.
BILLY’S Tokyo was inspired by whiskey barrels and brick buildings, both representing the warmth and craftsmanship found in Japanese and UK cultures. Their version of the sneaker uses rich brown tones, textured leather, and suede, giving it a rustic, aged look. A special touch is the Japanese text for “Sapporo” engraved on the side, highlighting the connection to Japan’s heritage.
On the other hand, size? created their design as a tribute to the 2002 World Cup match in Sapporo, where David Beckham scored a memorable goal for England against Argentina. This moment inspired a teal and red colorway, reflecting national pride and global unity. Like the BILLY’S version, this sneaker also features “Sapporo” written in Japanese in gold.
Both sneakers will be available at adidas, size?, and BILLY’S Tokyo. Pricing is still to be announced, but the designs promise to be a meaningful blend of style, history, and cultural respect.
