Nike is getting ready to drop a special version of the Air Force 1 Low, this time in tribute to basketball legend Kobe Bryant. The upcoming Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Soft Yellow” will release in Summer 2025 and is filled with personal details that celebrate Kobe’s incredible legacy.
The sneaker comes in an all-over soft yellow color, from the leather upper to the midsole. It also includes touches of rich purple, giving a nod to Kobe’s team — the Los Angeles Lakers. One of the standout features is a giant number “8” on the heel, which was Kobe’s jersey number during the early years of his career. There are hints that “24”, his later number, might appear on the other shoe.
Other cool details include snakeskin-inspired laces and tongue tag, a nod to Kobe’s nickname, the “Black Mamba.” His signature replaces the usual Air branding, and his championship years are engraved on the sole, celebrating every title he won with the Lakers.
Even the insoles tell a story — they show an image of Kobe practicing free throws in 1999, wearing pajamas and with an injured wrist — showing how committed he was to the game, no matter what.
The “Soft Yellow” AF1 joins previous Kobe lifestyle releases like the black and white editions, with more rumored to come. While Nike hasn't confirmed an exact date yet, expect this tribute pair to launch this summer on Nike SNKRS and select stores for $150 USD.
Stay tuned — this one’s for the true Kobe fans.
