Nike SB is preparing something exciting for sneaker and skateboarding fans. In Spring 2026, Nike SB is expected to release a skateboarding version of the Air Max2 CB 94 Low, a shoe originally made for basketball legend Charles Barkley.
The new pair, possibly named the Nike SB Air Max2 CB 94 Low “Varsity Red,” will come in a clean mix of white and bright red, with gum brown soles for a classic skate feel. While we haven’t seen the official images yet, sneaker insiders suggest that it will look similar to a friends-and-family version of the Air Jordan 4 SB that dropped earlier.
Nike SB has been doing great in recent years, especially with special editions like the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4, which was a big hit among fans. Now, they seem ready to do the same with other old-school Nike models — and the Air Max2 CB 94 Low might be the next big one.
The original high-top version of the CB 94 has appeared a few times in the last few years, but this low-top version hasn’t been released for a long time. With this comeback, Nike SB is expected to modify the shoe for skateboarding, likely making it more flexible and durable for skaters, while keeping its bold look.
As of now, Nike hasn’t officially confirmed the release or its final design. But it’s rumored to launch in early 2026 through Nike SNKRS and select skate shops, possibly at a price higher than the original $140.
Stay tuned for more updates and the first official images of the Nike SB Air Max2 CB 94 Low “Varsity Red.”
