Serene Industries has introduced the Icebreaker, a unique mechanical keyboard designed for those who appreciate both style and performance. Inspired by Brutalist architecture, the keyboard is crafted from a single block of aluminum, offering a solid and sleek look.
The Icebreaker measures 450mm x 44mm x 24mm and comes with a dual dampening system for a quieter typing experience. It also packs a powerful 4,000 mAh battery for extended use. What sets it apart is its adaptability—it features 1/4-20” threads, allowing users to mount professional accessories, like Picatinny rails, or even attach it to an axe handle for a bold statement.
The keyboard supports Bluetooth and USB Type-C connectivity, making it versatile for different setups. It features a 65% layout with Hotswap Switch Sockets, per-key RGB lighting, and an EC11 Rotary Encoder. Users can customize their experience using the Via Configurator or Serene Industries’ own software.
Buyers can choose between Hotswap and Hall Effect configurations, with a wireless PCB option arriving later. Available in clear aluminum and black anodized finishes, the Icebreaker is priced at $1,600 USD. Pre-orders are open until January 28, 2025, on Serene Industries’ official webstore.
