Clarks Originals has officially entered Latin America with its first-ever Brazilian collaboration, joining forces with Rio de Janeiro-based streetwear label Carnan. This partnership is more than just a footwear release — it’s a celebration of Brazilian culture, identity, and creativity on the global stage.
By combining Clarks’ timeless British craftsmanship with Carnan’s bold and modern design vision, the collaboration highlights how tradition can evolve into something vibrant and new. It represents a symbolic moment for both brands, merging Clarks’ global heritage with the unique rhythm, diversity, and artistic energy of Brazil.
The collection features reimagined versions of two of Clarks’ most iconic silhouettes — the Wallabee and the Desert Trek. Both are crafted in premium suede with the brand’s signature natural rubber crepe soles, but what truly stands out is the hand-stitched design that traces the map of Brazil onto the shoes. This subtle yet powerful detail symbolizes a bridge between place, memory, and design, turning each pair into a wearable piece of cultural storytelling.
According to Paulo Carneiro, co-founder and creative director of Carnan, the collaboration is about more than fashion — it’s about identity. “The literal stitching of the map of Brazil on the shoes makes this fusion between memory, territory, and design visible,” he explains. By doing this, the team transformed global icons into symbols of belonging, blending international legacy with local artistry.
Music also plays a key role in this campaign. Just as Clarks’ classics have been embraced by various subcultures — from hip-hop in the U.S., reggae in Jamaica, to Britpop in the U.K. — the Clarks x Carnan partnership channels the spirit of Brazilian music, from samba to Carioca hip-hop. “Our goal was to make the energy of Brazilian rhythm visible in every stitch and color,” adds Breno Fernandes, Carnan’s Head of Branding and Marketing.
The collaboration represents a true meeting of worlds — a perfect mix of British craftsmanship and Brazilian soul — showing how fashion can carry stories that transcend borders.
The limited-edition collection is now available for R$ 2,399 (around $440 USD) exclusively through Carnan’s official website, with each pair produced in small quantities.
