TAG Heuer Brings Innovation to Geneva Watch Days 2025 With the Carrera Astronomer and TH-Carbonspring

At Geneva Watch Days 2025, TAG Heuer showcased two major highlights that prove its focus on both creativity and technical progress.

The first is the Carrera Astronomer, a watch that gives a fresh twist to the moonphase complication. Instead of a traditional display, the lunar cycle is shown through a high-definition aperture and rotating disc that moves with extreme accuracy. Impressively, this mechanism can track the moon’s phases for more than 100 years, with an error margin of just one day.

The Astronomer comes in a 39 mm polished steel case and three versions:

  • Core stainless steel with silver dial (regular production)

  • Limited edition with turquoise accents (500 pieces)

  • Two-tone with rose gold accents (500 pieces)

Prices range from $4,450 to $7,050 USD, and the watch will be available in October 2025.

Next, TAG Heuer introduced a major technical breakthrough after nearly 10 years of research: the TH-Carbonspring oscillator. Created fully in-house by the TAG Heuer LAB, this new hairspring sets a higher standard in watchmaking by offering:

  • Complete resistance to magnetic fields

  • Better shock protection for daily wear

  • Reduced weight for sharper accuracy

The first watches with this technology are:

  • TAG Heuer Monaco Flyback Chronograph TH-Carbonspring – priced at $17,900 USD, arriving in early 2026

  • Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Extreme Sport TH-Carbonspring – priced at $42,100 USD, releasing in December 2025

Together, these launches reflect TAG Heuer’s mix of design vision and technical ambition, pushing the brand further into the future of luxury watchmaking.
