Ringbrothers Reveal 805-HP Aston Martin DBS “Octavia” at Monterey

At The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, custom car builders Ringbrothers revealed their boldest project yet — a reimagined 1971 Aston Martin DBS called Octavia. This marks the Wisconsin-based shop’s first Aston Martin build and their debut at Monterey Car Week.

The project took more than 12,000 hours of work, transforming the classic British grand tourer into a powerful restomod masterpiece. Under the hood sits a Ford Performance 5.0L V8 engine with a Harrop supercharger, producing 805 horsepower and paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. The car rides on a custom Roadster Shop chassis, with an integrated cage, widened stance, Brembo brakes, Fox coilovers, and HRE centerlock wheels, ensuring modern performance to match its raw muscle.

The design keeps the elegance of the original Aston Martin DBS but adds sharper lines, exaggerated proportions, and hand-shaped carbon-fiber bodywork for a futuristic look. Inside, Octavia blends luxury with high-tech details — a carbon-fiber dashboard, 3D-printed stainless accents, pleated leather, and machined brass door handles. It even includes Bond-like touches such as Gentex auto-dimming visors and a full camera suite, reflecting the theme: “What would an MI6 agent drive on holiday?”

With Octavia, Ringbrothers combine British sophistication with American muscle, creating a one-of-a-kind machine that pushes the limits of restomod design and engineering.
