Five Iconic BMW Art Cars to Shine at 2025 Goodwood Revival

The 2025 Goodwood Revival will showcase five legendary BMW Art Cars, celebrating 50 years of the series that blends motorsport with contemporary art. Running from September 12–14, the display is part of the BMW Art Car World Tour, which honors the collection’s 20 “rolling sculptures” created by artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jeff Koons, David Hockney, and more.

Highlights include David Hockney’s 1995 BMW 850 CSi with bold brushstrokes that reveal the car’s “inner spirit,” Frank Stella’s 1976 BMW 3.0 CSL, Roy Lichtenstein’s 1977 BMW 320i Turbo, Ernst Fuchs’ 1982 BMW 635 CSi, and Jeff Koons’ 2010 BMW M3 GT2, whose vibrant colors convey speed even while standing still. Each car shows the artist’s unique style while reflecting BMW’s racing heritage, from Le Mans–tested machines to production-based icons.

Since 1975, the BMW Art Car project has become a cultural landmark, connecting technology, design, and art. At Goodwood, visitors can see how artists from different generations turned cars into moving works of art. Saturday tickets are sold out, but limited spots remain for Friday and Sunday on the official event website.
