adidas Originals and Brain Dead are teaming up once again, this time bringing the heat with their brand-new Japan Flames collection. Known for pushing creative boundaries, the duo has already worked on tennis and bowling-inspired shoes in the past. Now, they’ve stepped into the world of wrestling — a theme that feels natural since Brain Dead even launched its own wrestling promotion, Brain Slam Wrestling, back in 2022.
The collection includes both Japan Hi and Japan Lo silhouettes. The Japan Lo comes in two bold versions: one in shadow brown with yellow and green details, and another in black with blue details mixed with off-white accents. Both feature leather uppers decorated with two-toned suede flame overlays, leather stripes, and furry laces for extra flair.
On the other hand, the Japan Hi takes inspiration straight from classic wrestling boots. The high-top comes in a sleek all-black style, detailed with off-white touches and pine green accents. Like the Lo, it also carries the flame-inspired design and co-branded sockliners.
Together, these sneakers celebrate wrestling’s energy while keeping Brain Dead’s playful design spirit alive. The Japan Flames collection will be available online through adidas Originals and Brain Dead on August 28.
