Nike Basketball is bringing something fresh to the court — the Nike GT Future, the latest shoe in the “Greater Than” (GT) series. First teased during NBA All-Star Weekend earlier this year, this high-performance sneaker is finally getting its official spotlight.
The GT Future is designed to help basketball players move fast, jump high, and stay comfortable. It features some of Nike’s most advanced technology: a full-length Zoom Strobel unit, soft Cushlon 3.0 foam, and an extra Air Zoom unit in the front for powerful push-offs. That means players can expect quick cuts, soft landings, and explosive energy with every step.
The upper part of the shoe has a futuristic, sculpted design that hugs the foot. Inside, there’s a built-in bootie and a padded heel lock system that keeps your foot secure during fast moves on the court.
So far, Nike has shown off three colorways: “Lightning,” “Metallic,” and “Fire.” All three look bold and ready to make a statement — not just in performance, but also in style.
While Nike hasn’t confirmed the exact release date yet, the GT Future is set to launch during the 2025 holiday season. It will be available through Nike SNKRS and select stores around the world. Originally priced at $190 USD, the final price may be a little higher due to recent Nike pricing changes.
