Jordan Brand is planning something special for fans next year — the return of the iconic “Banned” design, this time on the Air Jordan 1 Low OG. This release is part of the continued celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1, which has already included exciting drops and major collaborations.
The “Banned” look first became famous with the Air Jordan 1 High in 2011, especially because of the bold red “X” on the heel — a nod to the NBA banning Michael Jordan from wearing the original black and red sneakers on the court. Now, it looks like that same rebellious style is coming to the low-top version of the shoe.
While official images haven’t been released yet, early reports suggest that this version will feature the classic Black and Red (Bred) colorway with an "X" detail on the heel, just like the 2011 pair. It’s also expected to come in special packaging, making it even more exciting for collectors.
Even though this release hasn’t been confirmed by Jordan Brand yet, all signs point to a Summer 2026 drop. Keep an eye out for updates and first looks in the coming months.
