TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO Gives the New Balance MT10 a Stylish Update

TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO and New Balance are bringing back a special trail runner with a fresh look. The updated shoe is called the New Balance MT10Tv1, and it's set to release on June 5, 2025, in two colorways: “Black” and “Moon Beam.”

This new version is based on the original MT10, which came out in 2011. The MT10 was known for its minimalist design, made for people who liked the feel of barefoot running. The updated MT10Tv1 keeps that same idea but adds modern style and features.

The shoe now comes with a soft unlined nubuck upper, giving it a clean and premium look. It also has a special Vibram outsole that’s rounded, helping you get good grip whether you're walking in the city or on a trail. A rubber mudguard is added for extra protection and support.

Just like the original, this version keeps the Minimus feel, meaning it has very little cushioning and a wide fit to let your toes move naturally.

The MT10Tv1 was showcased in a black-and-white photo campaign by Goldie Williams Vericain, and it will be priced at ¥24,200 JPY (about $167 USD). You’ll be able to find it at select New Balance retailers worldwide starting June 5.
