Popular streetwear brand Patta has teamed up with Nike to create a fresh version of the new Cryoshot Mercurial sneaker. This special release is based on the legendary Mercurial R9 football boots, but is redesigned to be worn off the field — combining sports style with street fashion.
Revealed by Patta’s co-owner, the sneaker features a bold color mix of red-orange and black, with shiny metallic silver details. The design is likely a tribute to the Netherlands’ famous “Oranje” team colors, as Patta is based in Amsterdam. You’ll also spot Patta’s name clearly printed on the large lace cover and the tongue.
One of the standout features of the shoe is the icy TPU (plastic) cage on the sole, a unique part of Nike’s new Cryoshot design that adds style and support. This makes the sneaker look modern and futuristic while still being inspired by classic football cleats.
There’s no official release date yet, and we don’t know the price — but it’s expected to drop sometime in 2025 on Nike’s website and possibly at select stores. With Patta already working on new Air Max 90s as well, this Patta x Nike Cryoshot Mercurial is sure to be one of the most exciting sneaker releases of the year. Keep your eyes on this one!
