A fan-favorite Air Jordan is making a comeback this year! The Air Jordan 5 “Tokyo23”, which was first released in 2011 only in Japan, is returning on September 27 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 5.
This new version looks almost exactly like the original pair from 2011. It features the same bright yellow suede upper, with white and gray details on the netting, laces, and tongue. On the side, you’ll find a special “23” in Kanji characters, embroidered in black — a unique design that made the original pair so special.
There’s one small change, though. The toe section of the outsole has been changed from black to yellow. Jordan Brand says this change honors early sample versions of the shoe and helps keep the original 2011 release special for collectors.
The Air Jordan 5 “Tokyo23” will be released on September 27 through Nike SNKRS and select stores. It will be priced at $210 USD.
Sneaker fans and collectors, mark your calendars — this limited-edition pair is expected to be one of the most exciting Jordan drops of the year.
