Fans of Drake and Jordan Brand are buzzing with excitement as two unreleased OVO x Air Jordan 9 samples have surfaced. These "look-see" prototypes, designed to evaluate a silhouette before mass production, were never put into production but offer a rare glimpse into the collaboration’s creative process.
OVO and Jordan Brand collaborated from 2015 to 2019, producing iconic retail releases like the Air Jordan 12, 10, and 8. True to OVO’s signature style, these Air Jordan 9 samples follow a luxurious black, white, and gold color scheme.
The white sample features a glossy leather upper with gold accents on the tongue badge, insole, and translucent outsole. In contrast, the black sample has a matte leather finish, an opaque outsole, and branding details in both gold and black. A standout feature on both pairs is the tongue tag, which replaces the standard Air Jordan logo with October’s Very Own branding, adding a personal touch.
Although these prototypes won’t be hitting retail shelves, sneaker enthusiasts can admire their unique design and attention to detail. To stay updated on the latest sneaker releases, check out the Weekly Footwear Drops roundup.
