A rare and stunning 1995 Porsche 911 Remastered by Gunther Werks, known as the Rennsport Aventura, is set to be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s on January 24. This one-of-a-kind car is the final build in a series of just 25 Carrera-based examples created by the California-based Gunther Werks, making it a truly exclusive collector’s item.
The Rennsport Aventura made its debut at The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering in 2022, impressing car enthusiasts with its custom design and extensive use of carbon fiber. At its core is a 4.0-liter air-cooled flat-six engine, delivering an impressive 435 horsepower and 312 lb-ft of torque, crafted by Rothsport Road and Race. This powerful engine is paired with a six-speed Getrag G50 manual transmission, featuring a lightweight clutch and flywheel inspired by the Porsche 997.2 GT3 RS.
The car’s performance is enhanced by a JRZ adjustable coil-over suspension system and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, ensuring it delivers track-ready handling with road-friendly comfort.
Inside, the Rennsport Aventura offers a luxurious and custom-built interior, with 80% bespoke components, including two-tone perforated leather, anodized aluminum, and carbon fiber accents. Gunther Werks’ craftsmanship shines through in every detail.
Originally commissioned for $778,888 USD, including $200,000 in performance upgrades, this unique example remains in pristine condition with delivery mileage only. Its rarity and craftsmanship have set its auction estimate at over $1,100,000 USD.
Bidding registration is now open, and the auction will take place as part of RM Sotheby’s Arizona sale. This is a rare opportunity to own a perfect blend of classic Porsche heritage and modern engineering excellence.
