Gallery Dept. and ASICS are back together for another exciting collaboration. After their successful partnerships in 2023, the two brands are finishing 2024 strong with a brand-new sneaker: the ASICS GEL-K1011. This release is special because it introduces a completely new silhouette that combines street style with high-tech performance features.
The GEL-K1011 draws from ASICS' rich history, taking inspiration from models like the GEL-NYC, GEL-Cumulus, and GEL-Kayano. It features exposed GEL units and a unique geometric panel at the forefoot, giving the sneaker a modern yet classic runner look.
This time, Gallery Dept. and ASICS are offering three different colorways for the GEL-K1011. The first, a sleek black-and-white design, reflects Gallery Dept.'s DIY aesthetic with visible brush strokes and a raw, unfinished look. The second colorway is a white and multicolor version, inspired by retro sports styles. Lastly, the "beef and broccoli" colorway brings a trail-running influence, adding something new to Gallery Dept.'s usual design language.
Despite the different looks, all three sneakers share common details, including branded tags at the heel, custom insoles, and "DEPT" text across the toe-boxes. These details tie the collection together, giving it a unique and cohesive feel.
The sneakers will be available for purchase on December 7th through Gallery Dept.'s website, although Instagram teasers mention a December 6th release date. Prices range from $295 to $325, depending on the colorway. Make sure to grab your pair before they sell out!
