Japanese designer Fumito Ganryu has once again teamed up with Puma to launch a fresh take on the Mostro XC silhouette. This is their second collaboration, and it pushes creative boundaries by exploring the concept of duality — the contrast between opposing forces like freedom and restraint, or youth and maturity.
The collaboration first appeared during Paris Men’s Fashion Week 2025, and it’s finally hitting shelves this month. To illustrate the theme, the campaign film starring Masaru Kasamatsu portrays a journey from youthful rebellion to mature control, symbolizing the balance between impulse and discipline.
Both sneaker models — the Mostro XC and the Mostro XC 3D — come dressed in a monochromatic triple black colorway, reflecting understated elegance and modern sophistication.
-
The Mostro XC 3D stands out with its bold, futuristic platform sole, created using ALIVEFORM 3D printing technology. Its stippled upper and spiked outsole enhance the shoe’s dynamic and sculptural look.
-
Meanwhile, the Mostro XC retains a sleeker, more classic silhouette, updated with a pull-closure system and a tight mesh upper that gives it a refined, performance-driven appeal.
This collection captures Ganryu’s signature balance between avant-garde design and wearable practicality, showcasing Puma’s dedication to innovation and craftsmanship.
The Fumito Ganryu x Puma Mostro XC collection is available now on Fumito Ganryu’s official website, with a wider release on October 11 via Puma Japan.
