Bremont Introduces the Terra Nova Jumping Hour in Steel — A Robust, Elegant Evolution

Following the success of its limited-edition bronze Terra Nova, Bremont has now unveiled a new non-limited Terra Nova Jumping Hour crafted in 904L steel. This release extends the versatility of the Terra Nova collection while showcasing the brand’s craftsmanship in creating durable, heritage-inspired timepieces.

The new 38 mm Terra Nova Jumping Hour maintains the signature cushion-shaped case and shortened lugs, a nod to early 20th-century military pocket watches. Its clean design houses the Jumping Hour complication, a sophisticated feature that instantly changes the hour display in less than one-tenth of a second. The watch runs on the exclusive BC634 caliber, developed with Sellita, which powers the jumping hour and minute windows, as well as a central running seconds hand.

Performance-wise, the watch offers a 56-hour power reserve and runs smoothly at 28,800 vibrations per hour, ensuring precision and stability. The solid 904L steel caseback enhances durability while adding a touch of refinement with its detailed finishing.

Visually, the Terra Nova Jumping Hour in Steel focuses on simplicity and clarity. The linear hour and minute windows feature brown-printed numerals on rotating discs, while the black compass-inspired small-seconds hand adds a subtle reference to Bremont’s exploration heritage. The combination of polished and brushed steel surfaces gives the timepiece a rugged yet elegant aesthetic.

Bremont’s CEO, Davide Cerrato, described the launch as an important step for the brand, stating:

“We know this watch has the potential to become a future icon, standing alongside the Altitude MB. We’re proud to introduce its second iteration, crafted in 904L steel and not limited. It’s as robust as any Bremont and makes a bold style statement.”

The Terra Nova Jumping Hour in Steel is priced at $5,100 USD with a steel bracelet and $4,800 USD with a chocolate box-stitch leather strap. Both options are now available as part of Bremont’s standard collection.
