Japanese brand FACETASM has teamed up with ASICS to create a fresh take on the iconic GEL-KAYANO 14 sneaker. The new design, called “Organic Beauty,” blends vibrant natural colors and textures with ASICS’ trusted performance features.
The shoe uses around 30 different shades, inspired by the natural world. Green tones reflect plants, browns represent soil, amber hues mimic sunlight, and blue shades resemble water. The engineered mesh upper changes in both texture and color depending on the angle and movement, giving the sneaker a dynamic look that feels alive.
The midsole is built with a gradient foam that looks like the layered texture of earth, while ASICS’ signature GEL™ units are placed in the forefoot and heel for comfort and shock absorption. These GEL™ pods, with their clear glass-like effect, add to the organic theme of the design.
Even the packaging stays true to the story. Each pair comes in a box inspired by a white wooden crate, giving it a handcrafted and artisanal feel. The collaboration shows how sneakers can balance fashion, function, and storytelling in one unique design.
