Nike is stepping into the future with the release of the Air Max 1000 “Oat”, a brand-new sneaker made with 3D printing technology. Designed in collaboration with Zellerfeld, this shoe skips the usual materials and instead uses one single printed design — no stitches, no glue, just one smooth shape.
The colorway is called “Oat,” and it features a light beige tone all over, giving it a clean and simple look. The upper has a cool textured pattern thanks to the 3D print, and the standout feature is the bright orange Air unit in the heel, which adds both color and comfort.
Nike has kept the branding very minimal — you’ll spot a small debossed Swoosh on the side and some subtle text near the heel, including a “FUTURE” tag and a reference to Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman. It also says “Made in Germany,” showing off its high-tech, eco-friendly production.
This release is a big step forward not just in design, but also in sustainability. The 3D-printing process helps reduce waste and allows for a custom-like fit. The outsole has special grooves that offer great grip and flexibility, making it comfortable to wear every day.
If you're in North America, you’ll get the chance to grab a pair soon — but you’ll have to be lucky. Only a limited number of pairs will be released through a Nike SNKRS Draw.
