World-renowned artist Roy Nachum and automotive expert Marc Shammah have created a one-of-a-kind Land Rover Defender 90 called “Moment of Clarity.” The project is the first release from their new venture Carthè, which aims to treat cars as moving works of art rather than just machines.
The Defender 90 is finished in a rare Porsche Sepia Brown color and features Classic Cognac leather seats, creating a timeless and elegant look. Inside, the vehicle includes travertine stone flooring and a hand-painted speedometer, both designed to reflect Nachum’s artistic vision and personal story.
Unlike most custom builds, this Defender wasn’t put together in a workshop. Instead, Nachum built it by hand in his own Hamptons garage, investing many hours into the process. For him, the project was not only about design but also about creating memories and emotions. Shammah focused on the engineering side, ensuring the car is as technically perfect as it is artistic.
Despite being an art piece, the Defender is also fully functional. It comes with Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, heated seats, and even a built-in refrigerator — making it both practical and luxurious.
With this project, Nachum and Shammah have introduced Carthè, a creative platform where each build will tell its own unique story. They have more vehicles already in development, continuing their mission to merge art, lifestyle, and engineering into meaningful creations.
