Garagisti & Co., a new car company from the UK, has introduced its first car — the GP1, an analogue hypercar built for pure driving fun. At a time when most new cars are hybrid or digital, the GP1 takes a different route. It comes with a naturally aspirated 6.6L V12 engine that makes 800 hp and revs up to 9,000 rpm, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. This car is made for drivers who love the old-school thrill of shifting gears and hearing the roar of a powerful engine.
The design of the GP1 comes from Angel Guerra, a designer who has worked at Bugatti and Rimac. Inspired by the wedge-shaped supercars of the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s, the GP1 mixes classic looks with modern engineering. It uses a carbon monocoque body by DEXET Technologies, and top-quality parts from Brembo and Öhlins.
What makes the GP1 special is its philosophy. Co-founder Mario Escudero explains that this car isn’t just about nostalgia. It’s about keeping alive the feeling of driving, even as the world moves toward electric and self-driving cars. He compares it to how mechanical watches still exist alongside digital ones — both have their place, but one speaks to the heart.
Only 25 units of the GP1 will be built, each priced at around €2.45 million EUR ($2.84 million USD). Buyers will also get exclusive access to the company’s design and engineering process through a special Open Doors programme.
For Garagisti & Co., the GP1 isn’t just a car — it’s a statement that analogue passion still belongs in the modern world.
