The highly anticipated Salehe Bembury x New Balance Made in UK 1500 V1 has been revealed by sneaker retailer A Ma Maniére. This collaboration offers a fresh take on the classic 1500 model, featuring subtle design details and a refined color palette. Scheduled for release in January 2025, the sneaker will be priced at $275 USD and available through an EQL raffle.
The upper of the shoe combines beige suede overlays with gray mesh on the toebox and gray leather accents around the collar. Pops of bright yellow embroidery appear on the co-branded tongue and the New Balance emblem on the heel, adding a vibrant touch to the otherwise neutral tones.
What truly stands out is the colorful sole design. The butter-yellow midsole includes a brown block at the heel and dynamic purple and orange accents on the lateral side. The outsole, predominantly gray, is enhanced with a green panel at the arch and a bold electric blue heel section.
This release marks a shift from Salehe Bembury's typically bold designs, like his vibrant Crocs Pollex collaborations and the striking New Balance 1906R "Heat Be Hot", which featured flame-inspired gradients. The 1500 V1 "Olive Gray" instead embraces a more understated and classic aesthetic.
