Nike has started 2025 with a bang, releasing exclusive LeBron PEs (Player Exclusives) for Florida A&M University (FAMU). As part of its six-year partnership with the HBCU, Nike continues to supply FAMU with custom LeBron James basketball shoes and uniforms.
The latest designs include the Nike LeBron 22 and the Nike LeBron NXXT Gen PEs, each available in two colorways: “home” and “away”. The home version showcases a dominant white base, while the away version highlights FAMU’s iconic green.
The Nike LeBron 22 stands out with its nubuck leather upper and bold, curvy stitching, accentuated by an electric orange Swoosh on the midsole. On the other hand, the NXXT Gen PEs feature a pebbled leather construction with a striking rattlesnake motif on the tongue, paying homage to FAMU’s mascot.
Unlike previous FAMU-themed Nike releases, such as the 2023 LeBron 7s, this new collection is not for sale to the public. These designs will remain exclusive to the university’s players and team.
While fans won’t be able to grab a pair, these sneakers are a testament to Nike’s commitment to FAMU and its celebration of HBCU culture. Take a closer look at the designs in the gallery above to appreciate the vibrant details and craftsmanship.
