Nike has teamed up with British-Nigerian artist Slawn to give the iconic Air Max 90 a bold and artistic makeover. This collaboration introduces two fresh colorways: “Black Speckle” and “White Speckle.” Both versions celebrate the timeless silhouette while adding modern and creative design elements.
The standout feature of these sneakers is the redesigned mudguard, which now includes a sleek leather stripe that wraps around the shoe, replacing the traditional medial panel. This gives the design a more premium and streamlined look. The quarter panels, Swoosh, and collar are decorated with intricate patterns inspired by stone carvings, adding texture and depth.
To further elevate the design, the heel branding has been updated with an embossed logo, replacing the classic Nike Air logo with a clean and sophisticated finish. A bold paint splatter detail decorates the midsole, with the Black Speckle version offering a striking contrast and the White Speckle variant providing a more subtle touch. Metallic accents complete the look—silver for the Black Speckle and gold for the White Speckle—adding a luxurious feel to both styles.
Set to release in Spring 2025, the Slawn x Nike Air Max 90 will be available for $160 USD. Fans of art-inspired sneakers can find these exclusive pairs on Nike’s official website and select retailers.
