A fully restored 1990 Mercedes-Benz 250GD "Wolf," known for its rugged military roots, is set to be auctioned at Bonhams Cars' "The Scottsdale Auction" on January 24. This off-road icon has been reimagined by Expedition Motor Company, combining its tough heritage with modern upgrades.

Powered by a reliable 2.5L five-cylinder diesel engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission, the Wolf delivers dependable performance both on and off the road. Its solid front and rear axles, four-wheel drive, and enhanced suspension make it ready for any adventure.

The restoration process was nothing short of remarkable, taking over 2,000 hours to complete. The vehicle was stripped to bare metal before receiving a striking Sky Blue paint job with black accents. Expedition Motor Co. added standout features like a snorkel, LED lighting, oversized BFG tires, skid plates, and a rear jerry can rack.

Inside, the upgrades continue with a custom roll bar, hand-stitched black bucket seats, and elegant wood rear floorboards. A soft top and bikini top are included for versatility, while thoughtful details like a color-matched emergency shovel and a hardbound book documenting the restoration add a personal touch.
