Japanese brand BEAMS is stepping into the sneaker-loafer trend with its very own Sneaker Loafer, blending timeless style with modern comfort.
The shoe combines a traditional black leather loafer upper with a chunky Vibram sole. Even though the top half looks formal and the bottom feels casual, the all-black matte finish gives the shoe a balanced, subtle look. Instead of bold logos, BEAMS keeps things minimal by placing its branding only on the insoles.
The sneaker-loafer style gained momentum in 2024 with the New Balance 1906L, sparking designs from brands like HOKA, Converse, Vans, and Nike. But in 2025, the look is becoming more understated. BEAMS’ version reflects this shift, joining KEEN’s UNEEK Loafer in moving toward a more classic and less experimental design.
What makes this release special is that BEAMS is doing it without a collaborator, showing its intent to build a stronger identity on its own. While BEAMS is well-known for collaborations, such as recent projects with New Balance, Clarks, and PUMA, this drop highlights the brand’s standalone creativity.
The BEAMS Sneaker Loafer is available now for pre-order on the BEAMS website, with shipping expected to begin in November 2025.
