Oktoberfest is almost here, and to mark the occasion, German sneaker boutique BSTN has joined forces with adidas for a special footwear release. The limited-edition München sneakers come in two unique colorways, combining Bavarian tradition with a fun Italian touch.
The idea for this collaboration comes from a funny cultural mix. In recent years, many Italian tourists have traveled to Munich for Oktoberfest, and locals now even call the second weekend of the festival “Italian Weekend.” adidas and BSTN decided to celebrate this connection by blending Oktoberfest vibes with Mediterranean style.
Each sneaker carries playful Italian details like the word “Salute” (cheers) on the design and “Brindiamo” (let’s raise a glass) on a custom crest. These touches highlight the friendly, community spirit of Oktoberfest.
At the same time, the sneakers still honor Bavarian tradition. The two colorways – Dark Brown/Dark Green and Taupe/Sage Green – take inspiration from lederhosen, the traditional leather trousers worn during the festival. Subtle embroidery on the heels also draws from Oktoberfest culture, adding a final layer of detail.
