Sucker Punch Productions has officially announced that Ghost of Yōtei will receive a free co-op multiplayer expansion called Legends in 2026. The reveal came during the opening of gamescom 2025, followed by more details on the PlayStation Blog.
Unlike the main story, which is grounded in realism, Legends will explore a “fantastical, supernatural setting.” Players can enjoy two-player story missions or team up with four friends in survival matches. The DLC lets you choose from four unique character classes, each with their own abilities, and face off against demonic, giant versions of the Yōtei Six and their allies.
Fans may notice similarities to the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends DLC, which was also praised for its fun co-op gameplay. Just like before, Ghost of Yōtei Legends will be free for all players who own Ghost of Yōtei.
The base game Ghost of Yōtei is set to launch on October 2, 2025, exclusively on PlayStation 5, with Legends arriving sometime in 2026.
