Japanese fashion label Graphpaper is teaming up with PUMA to release a new version of the classic SPEEDCAT Plus. The sneaker will be part of Graphpaper’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, designed by Takayuki Minami, and will launch on August 30.
The SPEEDCAT originally came from the world of Formula 1 racing, inspired by fireproof shoes worn by drivers in the 1980s and 1990s. Graphpaper’s new version gives the sneaker a cleaner and more refined look, with a monochrome tan design that fits perfectly with the brand’s minimalist clothing collection.
The shoe is made with a mix of suede, nubuck, and leather, giving it a smooth yet dynamic feel. Everything from the sole to the embroidery is done in the same tan shade, making it stylish and easy to pair with different outfits.
This release continues Graphpaper’s streak of successful sneaker collaborations. Earlier this year, they worked with Converse on a Jack Purcell-inspired loafer-style sneaker and also collaborated with Mizuno and Reproduction of Found on designs that highlight Graphpaper’s love for neutral tones and timeless materials.
With its racing roots and fashion-forward redesign, the Graphpaper x PUMA SPEEDCAT Plus is set to be a highlight for sneaker lovers this season.
