Caitlin Clark, one of the brightest stars in the WNBA, has been turning heads both on and off the court. Even after a minor injury earlier this season, she’s made her mark by earning her second WNBA All-Star selection. As she continues to rise in popularity, her relationship with Nike Basketball is growing stronger.
Recently, Clark was spotted wearing a fun and bold new pair of sneakers — the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Cookie Monster” PE. The shoe is inspired by the famous Sesame Street character, featuring an all-blue upper that looks like Cookie Monster’s furry coat. The laces (which she didn’t wear during the game) are made from a fuzzy material to match. The tongue of the shoe is designed to look like a chocolate chip cookie, with brown tones and textured details.
This isn’t Clark’s first custom Kobe shoe. She recently released her own Kobe 5 Protro “Indiana Fever” and is expected to have her very own signature sneaker in the future. For now, fans will have to admire the “Cookie Monster” PE from afar.
There is no word yet from Nike or Caitlin Clark if this sneaker will be released to the public. But given her growing fanbase and the success of her past player exclusives, there’s hope we might see it hit stores one day.
