Nike Unveils the Vomero Premium and Vomero Plus for Fall 2025

Nike is making it easier for runners to pick the perfect shoe with the launch of two new models: the Nike Vomero Premium and Nike Vomero Plus. Both shoes are part of Nike’s plan to simplify its running lineup and offer clear choices for every type of runner.

Set to release in Fall 2025, these two shoes focus on comfort, performance, and sustainability.

What’s New in the Vomero Line?

Both models feature a big upgrade: ReactX foam, replacing the older Cushlon 3.0. This new foam gives 13% more energy return, making your runs feel more responsive and smooth. It also helps the environment by reducing carbon emissions by 43%, making it a more eco-friendly choice.

Nike Vomero Premium

  • Release Date: October 2 (select retailers), October 16 (global)

  • Price: $220 USD

This is the most advanced Vomero yet. It has Nike’s tallest heel ever at 55mm, which provides maximum cushioning. It also uses ZoomX foam across the full midsole and includes visible Zoom Air units in the front and back of the shoe for extra bounce and shock absorption. This model is ideal for long runs where comfort is key.

Nike Vomero Plus

  • Release Date: August 7

  • Price: $170 USD

The Vomero Plus focuses on plush comfort and a secure fit. It has a soft engineered mesh upper, supportive overlays, and a midfoot band that keeps your foot locked in place. Extra padding in the tongue and collar makes it feel cozy and snug, even on longer runs or daily walks.

A Simple System for Runners

Nike’s new running shoe system is built on three main styles: Structure, Pegasus, and Vomero, each coming in Icon, Plus, and Premium versions.

  • Vomero is the softest and most cushioned of the three.

  • Pegasus is balanced for comfort and energy return.

  • Structure is built for stability and support.

According to Nike, this new system is designed to reduce confusion and help runners easily find a shoe that fits their needs.

“Runners just want something that feels good. They don’t want to overthink it,” said Marian Dougherty, Nike’s senior director of running footwear. “That’s why we’ve made it simple.”

Stay tuned as the Vomero Premium and Plus drop this fall. Whether you're training for a marathon or going on a daily jog, Nike is aiming to make your run smoother, softer, and simpler.
