Nike Air Max Waffle Racer Gets a Bold “Bright Ceramic” Makeover

Nike is bringing fresh energy to its Air Max Waffle Racer with a brand new colorway called “Bright Ceramic.” Set to release on June 18, this version adds a pop of color and retro charm to Nike’s growing lineup of sporty lifestyle sneakers.

The shoe features a bright orange nylon upper that gives it a vintage feel, similar to Nike’s early Blue Ribbon Sports days. To add more texture and depth, Nike has used matching suede panels on the laceguard, toe cap, and heel. Light cream-like “Sail” accents on the Swoosh and tongue balance out the bold color and give the shoe a stylish contrast.

What makes this sneaker special is its combination of old-school design and modern comfort. The midsole is made of soft foam with a visible Air Max unit in the heel, giving you a cushioned and bouncy feel with every step. The outsole features an exaggerated waffle pattern — a tribute to Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman, who created the original waffle sole using a kitchen waffle iron. This unique tread not only looks cool but also gives great grip and durability.
