Basketcase and New Balance are teaming up once again—this time for a unique and stylish version of the New Balance 204L sneaker. Known for their clean, minimal designs, the two brands take it a step further with this special edition made just for Friends & Family.
The new sneaker comes dressed in various shades of gray, giving it a sleek, modern look. What makes this pair stand out is the use of textured pony hair on the underlays, adding a soft, luxurious feel. On top of that, you’ll find smooth nubuck overlays, slightly darker in color, which blend beautifully with the overall theme.
Inside, the sneaker features leather linings, and below, it’s built with a contrasting EVA foam midsole and a durable outsole—offering both comfort and grip.
The pair is currently being shown off at Basketcase’s showroom in Paris during Paris Fashion Week, located in the trendy Le Marais district. Although this exact colorway is not releasing to the public, the brand has confirmed that a new version of the collab will launch globally later this year.
So, while this gray pony hair version is exclusive, more good things are on the way for fans of Basketcase and New Balance.
