Kevin Durant’s latest signature sneaker, the Nike KD 18, is getting a bold new colorway inspired by a classic — the Air Bakin. The “Air Bakin” version of the KD 18 will officially release on May 15 for $150 USD, available on Nike SNKRS and select stores.
Durant was seen wearing this fiery colorway during the NBA regular season. The shoe stands out with a mix of bright red, black, and gold (Amarillo), giving it the same look and feel as the original Air Bakin from the late ‘90s. It also includes a cool personal detail: the word “EA$Y” printed inside the tongue, a nod to KD’s nickname.
The KD 18 “Air Bakin” is built with breathable mesh for comfort and features wavy side panels, giving it a fresh yet retro vibe. It blends old-school sneaker style with modern performance, making it great for both hooping and collecting.
The original Air Bakin stirred up some controversy when it first came out, but it became a favorite over the years. It was last re-released in 2014, and Supreme even gave it a remix in 2023.
Now, it’s back again — this time through Durant’s signature line. Don’t miss out when the Nike KD 18 “Air Bakin” drops on May 15.
