Nike is blending classic sneaker style with football design in its latest release — the Nike Cortez SE and Nike Killshot 2 “Tiempo.” These two sneakers get a unique twist by borrowing a key feature from traditional football boots: the fold-over tongue.
Set to release in Summer 2025, the Cortez will be priced at $100 USD, while the Killshot 2 will go for $90 USD. Both will be available at Nike.com and select retailers.
The Nike Cortez SE “Tiempo” comes in a Black/White-Gum Brown colorway. It features high-quality leather uppers with double-stitched panels, a fold-over tongue with a hidden tag, a white swoosh, and special silver insoles. The heel is detailed with an embossed “72” and Nike’s check logo — a nod to the original Cortez release year. The sneaker sits on a black midsole and gum rubber outsole, finished off with clean white laces.
The Nike Killshot 2 “Tiempo” arrives in a Metallic Cool Grey/Black-Gum Dark Brown colorway. It has shiny chrome-like uppers and a more minimal look with fewer stitches. The swoosh is sleek and the heel features embroidered Nike branding. Like the Cortez, it also includes the fold-over tongue and a comfortable gum sole.
These football-inspired updates give both sneakers a fresh and sporty look — perfect for anyone wanting a mix of heritage style and athletic flair.
