Wales Bonner x adidas Sequin-Covered Sneaker Could Drop This Spring

British designer Wales Bonner and adidas are teaming up again, this time with a bold new sneaker — the Wales Bonner x adidas Karintha Sequin. While first shown during Wales Bonner’s Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show, the sparkly shoe might finally be hitting stores this spring.

This new sneaker stands out because it’s covered in reversible sequins that shine in black, brown, silver, or gold, depending on how the light hits them. The base of the shoe is inspired by older adidas models from the 2000s, with a slim design and simple shape. To balance the flashy sequins, adidas stripes, heel tab, and tongue are made of plain matte brown fabric. Underneath, the sole has a futuristic pattern with a stamped adidas trefoil logo.

Wales Bonner is known for her bold shoe designs that mix masculine and feminine styles. In the past, she’s used shiny materials, animal prints, and even Mary Jane shapes to give classic adidas sneakers a unique twist — like the Silver Metallic Samba or the Pony Leopard edition.

This new sequin-covered sneaker might arrive in Europe by late April or early May, according to sneaker insiders. While there's no official release date yet, fans of Wales Bonner’s work and collectors of adidas collabs should keep an eye out — this glittery pair might be the season’s standout drop.
