Doublet and Converse Japan have teamed up to create a special sneaker that mixes two classic designs — the Jack Purcell and the All Star Hi. This new hybrid shoe will be released first by Doublet on April 26 and then by Converse Japan on April 28.
The sneaker, called the Doublet x Converse Japan Jack Purcell All Star Hi, has a creative design. It features a stacked sole where the Jack Purcell’s midsole is surrounded by the All Star’s, making a unique platform look. The upper part uses Ivory-colored canvas with a twist: the right shoe is shaped like a Jack Purcell Hi and the left shoe looks like an All Star Hi. Each shoe also has different logos on the side, adding to the mismatched style.
While the Doublet name mainly appears inside the left shoe, it’s much more visible on the matching clothing collection. Hoodies and t-shirts in black and off-white come with special designs, including long drawstrings shaped like little legs wearing mini sneakers!
The new sneaker will cost ¥29,700 (around $206 USD). You can buy it through Doublet first, and then from Converse Japan a couple of days later.
