To honor the 55th anniversary of the famous manga and anime character Doraemon, Converse Japan is launching four special All Star sneakers on April 30.
Each design is inspired by Doraemon’s world and brings something fun and different. One of the sneakers shows Doraemon’s face on the side of the shoe, with blue and pink colors on the outer and inner parts. Another version sticks to a more classic look with a full off-white color and simple design.
There’s also a unique black-and-white pair that has actual panels from the Doraemon manga printed all over it, giving it a comic book vibe. The fourth version, called “Multi,” uses bright, colorful artwork from the series to cover the entire shoe, making it the most playful of the bunch.
All the shoes come with special Doraemon x Converse branding on the tongue and inside the shoe, along with a custom box. Prices start at ¥12,100 JPY (around $85 USD) and go up to ¥14,300 JPY (around $100 USD) depending on the design. Matching backpacks and tote bags are also part of the release.
These fun sneakers will be available only in Japan through Converse Japan's website and stores.
