A First Look at the Air Jordan 5 "Grape"

The Air Jordan 5 "Grape" is making a comeback this April, bringing back one of the most beloved OG colorways from the Jordan lineup. This retro release will feature the classic white, "Grape Ice," and "New Emerald" color scheme, staying true to the original design that debuted in 1990.

This marks the fourth release of the iconic "Grape" colorway. The shoe was last seen in 2013 and now returns with the original Nike Air branding on the heel for added nostalgia. Fans of the sneaker can expect the same clean white leather upper, complemented by the bold purple and emerald accents on the tongue and midsole.

The Air Jordan 5 "Grape" holds a special place in sneaker culture, famously worn by Will Smith in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and featured on a Wheaties box with Michael Jordan himself. Over the years, it has inspired other versions, like the "Black Grape" and "Alternate Grape" editions, as well as a laceless "Fresh Prince" iteration in 2018 to honor Will Smith’s 50th birthday.

Set to release on April 19, the Air Jordan 5 "Grape" will be available through Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a retail price of $210 USD. As the Air Jordan 5 celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, this drop is a must-have for collectors and fans alike.
